SavATree Honors Fallen Veterans on Day of Service

SavATree is proud to be an official sponsor and partner of Saluting Branches: Arborists United for Veteran Remembrance, a national day of service charity dedicated to recognizing and honoring our fallen veterans. SavATree stood united, alongside tree care professionals from across the nation, to volunteer professional tree and landscape services at the final resting sites of veterans.

On September 21, 2016, 36 national cemetery sites in 27 different states received free tree pruning, removals and plant healthcare services to ensure that our veterans’ cemeteries are beautiful and safe places for all those who visit. On that day, SavATree arborists volunteered services and expertise at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in South Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Saluting Branches is a non-profit organization that was founded to honor American service men and women by caring for their final resting places. Through a united effort, the event has grown nationwide and become the largest single day volunteer event in the history of the tree and landscape industry. Last year, over 1,000 volunteers from 246 different companies came together to provide an estimated $1 million in donated services.

SavATree’s district manager in the Twin Cities, Chris Muehleck, commented: “SavATree is honored to be able to give back to our nation’s veterans and their families by providing expert tree and shrub care. We are thankful to those who have served our country and made it possible for us to have the freedoms we enjoy every day.”
